Remind me again how Garnett won't take and make shots at the end of a big game. I guess he should be more like LBJ and go 2-18 in a winnable game for his team.

He made the finals by hitting big shots and carrying his team in the playoffs, unlike KG.

he made the finals because Flip Saunders is atrocious and the rest of the east was a disaster. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that the officials are absurdly kind to him.

the guy is a mediocre shooter and has to bull his way to the hole, never being called for that foul, to finish games. The next Jordan he is not.

I never said he was.

Take a look at lebron's stats in close games (i'm no huge lebron fan btw) in the 4th quarter (top 3 in league) and then take a look at garnetts and get back to me. thanks much. edit: i must admit i did not watch last nights game.

LeBron had pretty much his worst game EVAR.

The Celtics looked almost as bad, but not quite.

The question is are the Cavs encouraged that they barely lost with such a historically bad effort from LeBron, or are they discouraged?

Advantage has to be to the Celtics right now, unless Cleveland can institute their game plan. Ilgauskas (sp?) was shooting perimeter shots for gods sake.

If you followed Cleveland on an occasional basis, you'd soon realize that Big Z also happens to be one of the Association's best shooting big man. At 7-3, he has an uncanny shooting touch that 7-footers rarely ever possess. In fact, almost half of his field goals come 10 to 15 feet away from the basket.

I've seen that, I actually got to watch the Cavs play this season when they came to Portland. But when I was watching him, his heels were touching the three point line. I know his mid-range game is actually alright, but I'm talking corners and baseline.
