Hey hey hey, it's.....

I'm sure AH's version is significantly watered down. Anyone who has had a teenage boy (I've had 2) has most likely lost their cool with him at some point - but cursing at him and slapping him across the chest 3 times is never a good idea - especially in public. The slapping part is obviously more concerning than the cursing. Usually, being in public causes someone to show restraint. If that was his restraint, I feel sorry for the kid when he got home.

According to the tweet he thought he was out of sight and earshot. Evidently not. How do we know it wasn't over when he was done. As mad as I got with my kids in public, I disciplined at the point or absolutely as soon as possible and if it went more than an hour or so, it was more of a discussion and punitive punishment vs. corporal punishment way later. I did what was needed and it was finished......I didn't believe in the "wait till your dad gets home" BS.

I think you are missing my point - I disciplined my kids in public as well but he was in a public place regardless if he thought he was out of earshot. Cameras are everywhere and yet he still slapped him across the chest 3 times. I believe strongly in spanking, but I never slapped my child across the chest 3 times or even once.
