There's some really good Pearl bashing material flying around Memphis this morning. I'm getting this second hand off some Memphis sites but apparently Parrish went on the radio down there this morning and speculated that Crawford was going to Memphis. He went on to say if it turns out to be Memphis then Pearl is going to have to rethink his connections in Memphis. Parrish is saying that Easterwood and Cowboy have been Pearl's main contacts and that he has worked hard to get a relationship with these guys. He goes on to say that if these guys can't deliver Crawford then Pearl needs to rethink these guys. Some of the Memphis people are saying that Easterwood was just trying to use Pearl to get his son a football scholly at UT. Now, that has fallen through so the deal is off. You should check into it, this should really interest a Pearl hater like you.

Failing to land Crawford wouldn't be a big deal to me. If Cam Tatum's knees are remotely sound, he and Jordan McRae would keep Crawford rooted to the bench.

Obviously, Pinkston and Harris are the priorities. They're going to have to make a decision on Cothran soon. If they don't get more aggressive there, he's going to look elsewhere and forget UT. I think Negedu's tragic circumstance creates a variable. That's one less post player than they expected to have. That means they may look at taking three inside players if they can get them. As far as guards go, if the information on missing on Crawford is accurate, they'll take a step back and decide what they want to do there.
