imo our D got no pressure on longshore (zero sacks iirc), there was poor tackling, ends lost containment, no ints. vols gave up 240 yards for avg rush of over 6 yards per carry.

i agree, we looked much better in the 2nd half of the USM game. but USM is not Cal, much less UF.

The thing that really cost us in the Cal game was over pursuing by the front 7. There were several other things, like Karl being slower than most Centers and the other 2 LB's being out of position all game long. We saw the exact same thing against USM in the 1st qtr and a half.

I try to formulate opinions based on FACTS, not some dream world...I would suspect it would take a herculean effort on someones part to replace JH on the DL...but I am smart enough to know, thats only my opinion.

Forsett got to the corner almost at will. There's more going on than overpursuit. We appeared relatively easy to block in the Cal game.

well, in that case i'm going to go back and study the film and try like heck to get better!

i hope you are correct as over pursuing and poor position might be more easily fixable.

as far as the line in vegas, it is set to encourage the maximum amount of betting on both teams (maximum betting is the business model, after all). it is not some "expert" believing that the Gators are exactly 8 points better -- that is up to the sportswriters and forum posters.

Ageed about the Vegas line.

It has to set to that 50% of the bets are above and 50% of the bets below. Vegas doesn't lose money on the long run.
