Hey guys, look, someone finally picked us to beat UF!

Greg Roberts picked UT on the George Lapides show this morning. Here in Memphis. That may not be a good thing though as all Memphis natives will attest.

I'm just not sold on TN putting up all these points on UF.
It's no guarantee that if Florida is held to 30 or less, TN wins.
I would take UF's Defense over ours. I just don't see how TN is automatically gona put up the pointage on the Gators.

Charles Hollis, Birmingham News picked UT 38-31. He's actually pretty good in the pick-em department.

other than usually being a doom and gloomer, why would you take the Turds D over ours? They lost almost all of their starters and let Troy put up over 30 on them.

Having thought about this a little bit, I figure this game might actually closely resemble the Cal game...

Greg Roberts, a betting analyst for Sports 56 (I think), said this morning on his weekly rundown that he takes the Vols +8 pts but actually likes the Vols straight up.

- In revenge games in the SEC, after coming off a double digit win the Vols a a perfect 5-0 during PF's tenure.

- At home the Vols are definately no good against the spread with the exception of last week, but on the road just the opposite.

GO VOLS!

I feel cheated. I picked us to win by a late FG by the Ocala boy.

We just need to eat the clock and score in the red zone -- except for Lincoln final field goal.

"The kick is up...and...and...it GOOD! There is silence on the Florida side of the field as Ainge directs the band in Rocky Top."

That's just silly. each is young and unproven and we have some talent.

What have you seen from them that would make you trade?

UT has many more players with game experience than UF. Florida lost 10 of their top 11 tacklers from last year.

Good to hear someone's picking us, I guess. Down here in Florida is all Gators, all the time. It's exhausting, reading every day about how Superman wears Tim Tebow pajamas to bed.

Phil Steele on Rivals Radio this morning also said he thinks Florida will win only because of home field advantage so with that he would take the Vols and the 7.5.

I would think that is giving us a chance as well.

From phil steele's web site

This one figures to be a shootout. Floridas defense has yet to be tested by an offense like Tennessee’s. My computer calls for both teams to top 30 points and I agree. Tennessee has the slight edge on D and Florida has the edge on offense, special teams and is at home. I will side with the defending national champs in the “Swamp”.
Phil’s Forecast: #5 FLORIDA 37 Tennessee 30
