Heupel/Staff Given Raises (Heupel Extension?)

Completely disagree with this. While I do like this staff, they have not proven anything to deserve raises. Tim Banks making 1.5 million???

My opinion is whether the guy is worth it or not, we need consistency in staff retention a few years to get the program on track and keep it there.

This pay raise will solidify that. In a couple years if the guy isn’t getting it done, then they can do what they need to do, but for now a consistent staff will help recruit and I truly believe we will see growth.

Kentucky doesn’t qualify as a cupcake. But none the less the year prior to Hueple showing up UT was 3-7. I’m not satisfied with 7-6 but it’s hell of a lot better than the alternative. I want to see improvements every year. Again please name 10 other SEC that are better than he is that currently make more than he is. He needs to be paid more than Lee, Drink, and Beamer.

Are you kidding? Everyone on here wants to chirp that Tennessee is a Top-10 program…. Well, guess what? The Number 10 paid coach in the nation gets paid $7.5 million per year.

Even with this raise, UT is nowhere near a Top-10 paying job. And as they say, money talks and you-know-what walks. I’m more disappointed that we aren’t paying more TBH. Hiring and paying in the bargain bin has led this program through some woeful times.

And it’s not like several of the names on this list have greatly superior pedigrees compared to our HC.
