Strong pitching from starter Nick Hernandez and Blake Forsythe's two-run home run in the fifth inning led Tennessee to a 4-2 series-clinching victory over Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon at Robert M. Lindsay Field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

I don't think this team has gotten back on track at all. Hopefully they prove me wrong but they seem absolutely dreadful at this point.

Miss. State is not a great team. But it was good to see the Vols play well all around for two games in a row. We have dug to big a hole and have Arkansas and I think LSU coming up. It would be nice to see the them end well so the season isn't a complete wash.

With a win tomorrow we could tie State for the worst record in the SEC. Now that's a goal to reach for.
