After the Florida game, some on these boards worried that the Gators gave the world a map to keeping games close with the Vols. The whole "go for it on 4th down no matter where you are on the field...gamble...take huge chances."

Trouble is, Florida was uncommonly lucky when they rolled the dice, over and over. Most times, that's not going to work out. They're considered high-risk play calls for a reason (like going for it on 4th and 2 on your own side of the field).

LSU is showing exactly why that was never really true. Florida didn't show other teams how to keep up with us.

The score is 20-0 as I type this. Very early in the 2nd Qtr.

Go Vols!

We punted once against Florida, right? If you're on the other sidelines against us you have to go for it on any fourth and short in order to have enough scoring opportunities to keep up.

Other teams shouldn’t count on floridas luck against us.
And even Florida's almost unbelievable level of luck wasn't enough to get them a W. We still beat them.

Which is why I'm amazed any other coach can possibly believe this is the right formula against us.

But there Mr. Kelly was, rolling those dice, over and over again, like he had a personal IOU from God.
