After UT’s lackluster performance in the SEC championship game, MD seems to have a lock on the last #1 seed, with UT as the first #2 seed. So a Spokane pairing makes sense if you take geography out of the equation. Putting top #1 seed UConn with top #2 seed UT in Albany because of geography would totally suck for UT. But if SCAR is put in Greensboro, one of the two will have to happen. Otherwise, ND and UT will go to Greensboro. Greensboro would be great geographically, but IMO Spokane best positions UT (and the SEC) for a good run.
