If you look at the remaining recruits on the board, it seems we are heads up with only one other school for each. I think it's hit or miss on all. We will either be extremely happy or extremely pissed after Feb 6th.

Abrams Ward- UT or UNC
AJ Alexander- UT or FSU
Witherspoon- UT or UMich
McClain - UT or Auburn (I think)
Page - UT or Clemson
Wells - UT or OSU
Thompson - UT or Clemson
Savage - UT or Auburn
Wadley - UT or Auburn (I think)
Walls - UT or Ole Miss (Longshot)
E. Davis - UT or Ole Miss
Kelly - UT or ASU
D. Thomas - UT or LSU
L. Edwards - UT or Bama or LSU (could get by default)
JT Floyd - UT or UMich
Scruggs - Not sure at all on him

Thoughts or corrections if any. Thanks

Its good to be in the final two for all these guys. Fulmer is a closer and this is when he shines when it comes to recruiting. If we can land five or six of these guys it would be great. I especially want 2 more OL and Brandon Thompson.

i was making the exact same point today with my friend. There's just tons of toss ups. But many of these toss ups look bleak. I'm hearing thompson to clemson is likely, and i think savage can't overcome his mom's like of auburn. A guy on volquest said walls is silent to us as well as mcclain. I can believe mcclain but not walls. He said recently that he's solid to ole miss...and i think abrams-ward is unc bound because he grew up a fan.

On paper our odds look good at 50/50 but in reality i think they are slightly worse. Hope i'm wrong though

Alexander- UT
Witherspoon- UT
McClain- Auburn or LSU
Page- Clemson (due to loss or Harmon to UGA)
Wells- UT(redshirts a year)
Thomspon- UT
Savage- UT
Wadley - Miss

The rest it doesnt matter - Kelly MLB Draft, JT Floyd (Lerentee McCray syndrome we should cut his scholly because he has been soft for nearly 3 months)
Scruggs- hopefully we will have more DEs by the time he is ready
Davis- only if Creer tears an ACL
L Edwards- how can he not go to LSU when the weekend he visited he was the only VISITOR THERE (he might have gotten "a little" attention)
Dallas Thomas- don't see the need we have plenty of decent OL

My wish list - Bohanon and Henderson change commits and we finally get the mentality of the Hargrave Duo( Mackey and Coples) to come back ,,,that will make it worth it this year

You realize that OL is one of the biggest targets for this class. If we don't get McClain or Page, we better go after Thomas very seriously.

Scruggs is UT or UL and there are actually rumors that the two silents we have are from McClain and Walls.

Thomasville’s Thompson to announce prior to signing day
Thomasville’s Brandon Thompson, listed on Scout.com as the sixth-best defensive tackle in the Class of 2008, confirmed Tuesday night that he will commit to Clemson or LSU prior to national signing day on Feb. 6.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound Thompson received visits last week from Clemson coach Tommy Bowden and LSU coach Les Miles.
If Thompson has a front-runner, he wasn’t in the hinting mood Tuesday evening.
“In my mind, both schools are pretty much the same,” Thompson said. “I don’t have a leader.”
Thompson has completed all of his visits. He will likely announce his college choice during school late next week.

The point is not whether Dallas Thomas is a need, I said we already have an assortment of Decent OL. Meaning we got Sawtelle and Pope last year, we have Bailey and Anderson, Bailey will be decent and Sawtelle hopefully willl be good, but I am not wasting Schollys without it being a stud, so if it comes down to another ATH or DB that can help on Spec Teams or a mid-level lineman who needs to gain 50-60 pds before he can compete in SEC I prefer the first.

Four OL in a two year period is not an assortment. Also, he might not be a stud by Rivals but HV has said that Fulmer is very high on him. How many stud Ath or DB's are left on our board, I can think of three: Wagner, Ward, and Alexander.

not going to happen. Bryant has been out for awhile now, although Rivals still lists us. We don't need an athletic class, we need lineman.

I just looked up Ed Imeokparia and he looks like a great sleeper prospect but I haven't heard anything about him

Dont count Notre Dame outta Page yet, as much as I hate to say and dont think he goes there, Ive seen Charlie Weiss more than any other college coach around school...
