Running Game - Even (Hardesty/Brown - Ingram/Richardson)
Passing Game - Alabama (shakey as of late, if Crompton shows up UT wins)
Off Line - Even
Def Line - Alabama
Linebackers - Even
Secondary - Tennessee by far
Kicking - Tennessee

Close game

What say you?

Pretty good except that I would give Bama the edge in RB, OL, and LB. Also, I would say that secondary is about even.
Edit: I didn't even see the kicking part. Not a snowballs chance in hell we are better in the kicking game than Bama.

I got to feel like Bama's Oline is better and I'm assuming by "kicking" you mean the kicking game which Bama can't possibly be worse than UT at covering kicks/punts so they have the advantage there as well.

Having said that, I still think it is a close game, 10 points or less

Don't be so hard on yourself...Help is available and Im pulling for you. What is it 12?...236?...It changes with the weather? One thing I know for a FACT...Phil posted an 11-5 beatdown on you and BEAR NEVER beat Neyland in 7 attempts...Sit down, Shut up and speak only when spoken to.

Field position, Field position, Field position

We will struggle moving it down the field methodically.(Need Field position, and a few big gains on O) When we don't score we have to move it well enough to keep them backed up.

Bama will to will struggle some taking it the length of the field, and getting TDs. Have to figure out a way to make their QB win the game. Difficult task, but it can be done.

WOW...I'm a Vol...and you have the running game even??...I wish I had that Kool-Aid (you know that Ingram ought to be leading the Heisman...right?)

Hardesty lead the nation in carries 10 yds. + until last week when Ingram took the spot with him in a recliner. Tiffin is a joke! Are you kidding me? Secondary is not even up for discussion...Cmon dude!

Linebackers even? no dont think so cause Bama is crazy good at linebacker. Oh side note Nick Reveiz is coming to my school tomorrow.

Neyland never beat a Bama team coached by Bear.

You honestly think Hardesty is the better back?

OL- Bama(We're playing walk-ons and Vlad is hurt.)

LB- Bama(LB is one of our weaknesses.)

Kicking- Bama(Our last outing featured a kickoff returned for a TD and a blocked punt.)

Secondary- Pretty close(By no stretch of the imagination is UT far superior to Bama. See Ohio)

Heres the cold hard stats...

RUSHING Cl G Att. Yards Avg. TD Long Avg/G
1. Mark Ingram-UA SO 7 135 905 6.7 8 54 129.3
2. Ben Tate-AU SR 7 150 856 5.7 5 60 122.3
3. Anthony Dixon-MS SR 6 134 696 5.2 7 57 116.0
4. M. Hardesty-UT SR 6 125 672 5.4 6 43 112.0
5. Derrick Locke-UK JR 6 99 459 4.6 3 31 76.5
6. J. Demps-UF SO 6 53 444 8.4 5 41 74.0
7. O. McCalebb-AU FR 7 80 461 5.8 4 62 65.9
8. Michael Smith-AR SR 5 50 325 6.5 2 33 65.0
9. Warren Norman-VU FR 7 79 450 5.7 3 58 64.3
10. T. Tebow-UF SR 6 99 378 3.8 5 30 63.0

Ingram is better with Hardesty not playing this week. We'll see...I absolutely believe Hardesty runs harder than any back in the nation! These numbers are without a QB showing up 4 out of 6 games...If Cromps does what he can do we are 5-1 or 6-0 at this point.

We'll see Saturday...You would'nt be here if you truly felt the game was a lock...Why waste your time otherwise???

It's pretty tough to compare Hardesty and Ingram because of how much better UA's Oline is. Hardesty is definitely a hard runner(much better than Arian Foster ever will be, still can't believe Hardesty didn't play more last year)and maybe with an Oline just as good as Bama's he would be on the same level.

The combination of Ingram/Richardson is better than Hardesty/Brown, contrary to what you think. As for Tiffin, I would take him all day over Lincoln and the kicking game has more than just kickers. It also includes the punter and kick/punt return guys. Arenas is light years better in the return game than anyone on our team. I don't know enough about the punters to say one way or the other.

Neyland was 7-8 years out before Bryant coached a game at Bama....I guess I would understand if I were a Kentucky fan??

In Bear's own words from his book...

"People think I'm the greatest damn coach in the world," said the great Bear Bryant, "but Neyland taught me everything I know."
The Bear coached against Bob Neyland's Tennessee teams seven times and never beat him. "I never beat him," he said, "but I learned a lot from playing him." "I'm just glad the old guy decided to retire".

Enough said
