I agree. Overall, this is bad news for the democrats although many Republicans don't like McCain. The dems will be fighting into June to get a candidate while the right can rally around McCain. It reminds me of all the Ed Bryant and Van Hilleary supporters that didn't like Bob Corker. They'll be there for him on election day when it counts.

Huck is probably wasting his time but it's pretty amazing how far he's gotten. At the beginning, he was barely a blip while Romney had enough support to be considered a contender. Huck's money has been a fraction too of Romney's.

I think it proves once again that if you are a good public speaker and you can strike a chord with the public you can go pretty far. Both Obama and Huck are proving this.

Oh well, I am not going to vote against someone for the third straight presidential election.

Romney will end up being McCain's VP choice. Huckabee is too arrogant to drop out and now that he's done McCain's dirty work and driven Romney out, McCain can now stop his kid-glove treatment of the Huckster.

same here...my vote will be more a vote against the Democrats candidate than a vote for McCain...if McCain is on the ball he'll start floating out possible conservative candidate appointments within his future administration to secure their support and stop putting his finger in their eye

we're talking really screwed...seriously I will never believe anyone will ever find the perfect candidate...I am(was) a Fred Thompson guy...I will always disagree with a candidate to a certain degree...

We are screwed no matter what, legit change has to happen or nothing will ever change for the better.

Oh wow this blows so much. He's speaking at CPAC right now with Reagan coming out of his mouth every other word. Now he's saying he'll make the tax cuts permanent. Remember this day... that's all I'm saying.

I have a RINO detector as well and it works fine... I don't view it as throwing a vote away...I'm informed and as it is now it's simply a matter of prioritizing and voting ones conscience...is the system of choosing our candidates broken in certain areas? Sure, but that takes a much larger plan and solution than running to some third party candidate...can it be fixed? I don't know...I'm hopeful but probably not in my lifetime

A third party is not the solution...............

The conservative movement needs a leader and a figurehead......McCain is neither.

W destroyed what Reagan started in 1980.

The Republican party does not need to comprimise conservative values for a moderate who panders to every one at an attempt to gain power.
