Can Ms. Pelosi hold off the dogs?

Early indications (supporting Murtha for majority leader; passing over Harmon for Hastings) say no.

As a side note, it's interesting that the new "most ethical" approach to running Congress begins with support for Murtha (of ABSCAM and legendary earmarking fame) and Hastings (of impeachment from federal bench). Beautiful.

Here's a preview of issues to come:

Weird, I don't remember the dems campaigning on gun control, NSA, repealing the Patriot Act, etc.

Stay tuned.

We'll see what actually comes out of Congress in January. Right now all they are doing is sending up trial balloons and posturing.

I would love for Murtha to become majority leader. Nothing like replacing the "culture of corruption" with a guy who is on tape about to accept a bribe.

You conservatives loved Murtha about a year ago, why the change of heart?

I'd never heard of him, or he was at least far under my radar, until he mouthed off and convicted those marines before they'd had their day in court.

That's the biggest stretch I've ever seen. Had he been alive at the time of Nuremberg, my answer would have been yes. Equating Murtha to Hitler is about the most ludicrous link I've seen.

As MG referenced, until someone's proven guilty, they are as innocent as the rest of us.

I'm not comparing Murtha to Hitler. I imagine he's probably more like Stalin, but that's just my opinion. I was only pointing out that not being convicted of something does nto make one a good person.
