Live-Ball—Dead-Ball Fouls
ARTICLE 6. When a live-ball foul by one team is followed by one or more
dead-ball fouls (including live-ball fouls treated as dead-ball fouls) by an
opponent or by the same team, the penalties are administered separately and
in the order of occurrence (A.R. 10-1-6-I-V).

What it means is the "too many men on the field" call should have been enforced then the 15 yd personal foul for the "removal of the helmet" should have been enforced from that spot. We got screwed on that deal, period!

Interesting. But it was during the play when he threw his helmet I believe, so it would have been illegal participation?

The helmet was removed after the clock had expired. I ran it back twice to make sure.

Agreed, he guy removed his helmet but of course it didnt get called. LSU should have had one more shot from the 15 yrd line. The refs screwed that one up

And the refs at first signaled the game to be over. So that means no penalty if the play was dead.

Get over it. They beat us on the first and last play of the game. It's over.

It should have been something. We should have never let it come down to the last play of the game though. We outplayed those guys today. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...right? Next week, Georgia!

Oh I agree that the game is over and we move on, I'm just trying to show that it was the wrong call.

Outplayed might be an overstatement.

You didn't turn the ball over + kept the ball away from Peterson = close game with LSU

No you did not outplay them, you didn't capitalize on the weekly LSU offense mistakes.
Ya'll did good I thought. That D is no joke thought.

they replay a penalty (which u can't do) then lsu commits a penalty and they dont review it.... they need to get their shi- straight, so sick of this crap by the refs, they deserve to get fired and we deserved that win. nuff said

How can you get over it, when it's clear as day that we got screwed?

Screwed how? Didn't stop the QB from running up the middle of field on the first play of the game when we knew that he couldn't complete a pass? Put 13 players on the field -- how is that any better than putting 10 on the field? Or missing a FG that would have made the difference in the game? ELITE teams know how to start and finish -- we do not yet. Obviously.

So the same deal (helmet throw) applies to Mt Cody last year on the FG block at Bama?

Which statement is more accurate:

1) "We got screwed!"

or

2) "We f..ed up?"

This loss will pay dividends and then some when Justin Hunter, Da'Rick Rogers, James Stone, Jawaun James, Corey Miller & Jacques Smith are Jrs/Srs.

Until then we are a very young & very thin team with a good coaching staff that cannot disguise all of our deficiencies.

We are not a good football team, but I am encouraged that we can eventually be very good based on today's effort

Only certain penalties are reviewable. Unfortunately, too many men on the field is one of the reviewable penalties.

Yes we did, there were several LSU players that tossed their helmets. That is a dead ball foul.

I was not called on the field though. Granted, they should have called it on the field, but I don't think it's reviewable. The officials at the end of the field where the helmet was thrown probably thought the game was over.

Actually, once a reviewable situation has been found...the entire play is reviewable. Meaning...13 men on the field would be the reason for the play to be officially under review, but then they can acknowledge any other penalties found.

They just usually don't.

they need to fix their own rule book and make changes. we've gotten skrwed twice on these stupid helmets being thrown. so sick of their shi-.. they get paid way to much to completely skrew over a team that rightfully won

I guess it really blows my mind that the same situation can happen to us two years in a row (LSU and Bama) and I never see this happen any other time.

Exactly, they missed the call, therefore we got screwed. And it wasn't just one LSU player. The refs were intent on enforcing the rules at the end, and we got screwed.
