Not a surprise. A guy called in on Vol Calls several weeks ago and asked Fulmer how many times he changes the plays when they come down from the box. He said about 30% of the time. I would think that would be enough to knock an OC out of his rhythm. That just shows Fulmer's incompetence. He thinks he is such a good coach he will just call the plays himself. Well, he will regret that move watching the games on TV next year.

Really, the most glaring fact about our offense that nobody seems to talk much about is that our QB's don't have an option to check out of plays that are called. Now you can either blame the players for being to stupid, or blame the coaches for not getting them ready to play, or blame the coaches for not recruiting better QB talent.

every head coach is involved with his different aspects of the team. there's no head coach who would ever just sit back on a lawn chair with shades on a sip lemonade during practices...

clawson calls the plays on gameday though; regardless what happens practice or whatnot, the bad plays and poor offensive production in games are the oc's fault - especially when both qbs play poorly and he's the qb coach

i dunno on that one though. crompton was just a bad qb period and stephens is just a soph who barely has still just barely played now, so i wouldnt expect him to make checkdowns or i bet he'd make a lot of bad ones. system's not right, but i dont think i trust stephens yet reading the checks on defense. didnt ainge call checkdowns all the time last year?
