Herbstreit on Vols (merged)

Kirk Herbstreit, in my opinion, is one of the best college football analysts out there. Few are as objective as he.

As a live-long, diehard Vols fan, I can objectively say that Herbie is right on the money.

With those pictures of Pearl and the bikini hottie hitting the net, I think Herbstreit is off the mark with this, I mean Pearl has brought passion back to the hill, baby!

Oh wait.... You mean THAT other passion.... Sorry....

Although Kirk may be right, but when the Vols win this Saturday they will change their outlook on how emotionally charged the Vols were.

Are you serious?? Spurrier could torch UT's defense with a bunch of high school kids running his offense. Saturday night we'll hear all of you posting on this board about what a juggernaut South Carolina is.

Kirk the jerk? Wow. Please post why he is wrong. Here's your chance to make him look silly, to show the world you know more than Kirk the jerk.

Me? I think Kirk the jerk was being kind. There's more than passion missing.

He's pretty much right on the money with that comment from what I've seen.

And if UT wins, we won't see you at all for another couple of weeks. :birgits_giggle:

Ahh, another refreshing chapter from 423's musings...

I like Kirk. He picks Tennessee when he shouldn't. He's a good guy and is usually pretty close to right.

Laugh it up. I have been incorrect on only 1 of my pre-season predictions (the GA game) for the Vols so far. How are your predictions looking?
Well, if you know anything about me you would know I never inhabit the "predict the score" threads due to my failure in Clairvoyance 101. I just enjoy watching the games as they take place (well maybe not always enjoy them). Constant gloom and doom attitudes don't accomplish anything in my opinion. Of course everybody is entitled to their own opinion so rock on brother.

Also, somebody on WLAC last night said Fulmer and Chavis are mired in the 80's while the rest of the SEC coaches have adapted to today's college football strategies. I forgot this guy's name, but he stated he expected UT to win out starting with Alabama, but said he forgot to include the Fulmer/Chavis factor when making that prediction. When asked what the Fulmer/Chavis factor was, this guy replied by saying that he forgot to include that UT coaches would be outcoached in at least one remaining game and most probably two.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I thought this guy was pulling no punches and very accurate with his statements. WLAC is ready for a coaching change big time.
