Herbstreit and Fowler

Herbie is fine with Al Michaels on the TNF broadcast, because Michaels remains the gold standard for play-by-play. He was always nice to Lee Corso and looked after him on the pre-game show. Unfortunately, when he's with Fowler, he follows the snarky attitude set by Chris. I'm sure if ESPN paired Herbie with Sean McDonough (a far superior play-by-play man than Fowler), his performance would improve considerably.

So, Star Thomas gets a 52-yard run down to the one-yard line, breaking tackles left and right, and those two bozos can only talk about the hustle that Devin Moore showed in getting the stop. They must have held each other and cried when Tennessee ended up smoking Florida
At that point they had to point out the few positives for Florida. Not everyone is out to get Tennessee if they don’t praise 100%. Tennessee made them talk of hustle plays and game day environment with 10 mins left in the 2nd qtr.

Fowler is the problem.

I don’t care for either one, but it’s obvious that Fowler is the bad fruit
They don't come any 'foul-er' than that asshat. I wish he'd ban himself from Knoxville or ANY UT game ever.

Agreed! It was laughable how out of the way they both went to not be complimentary to the Vols. I guess they've forgotten that they are supposed to be unbiased.
They haven't forgotten. They aren't unbiased and don't try to hide it. I wish Herby had a lifetime ban from anything to do with the Vols. He should have to pay a fine for even mentioning the VOLS. If I had the power, he would be banned from the state.

There was nothing wrong with pointing out the hustle. There was literally nothing positive for them to report about Florida. Trying to be impartial in a broadcast does not equal "hates Tennessee"

What did it for me is after we scored a TD on our first drive, Fowler's comment was that our offense just went right down the field and scored on this "depleted" Florida defense. After scoring our third TD, his comment was that you have to wonder how much effort the Gators defense was giving on that drive.

I don't love Fowler, but trying to fill dead air and kill time for pretty much 45 minutes is a huge challenge.
They were probablythisclose to sharing their favorite family Thanksgiving recipes step by step.
Who wouldn't want to hear how Holly makes her famous yam casserole?!?

They have no redeeming qualities as announcers or humans as far as I can tell. They are without a doubt biased against Thde Vols and make no effort to hide it.

It was legitimately a great play by the defender in a game that UF didn't have a lot of great plays.

They praised Bishop plenty during the game.
Joey too.
1st qtr, as the game was going to a commercial after florida 3 and out. Fowler said jerry instead of joey. He def is a clown.
