Did anyone think this game looked eerily similar to the their last championship victory over my beloved Powell Panthers? Great game, each team had some costly turnovers, and HC having to hang on at the end to win it?

Also, felt like Powell should have run the ball instead of passing when they got to HC twenty and felt like West should have run the ball the last two series as well.

Also had a d-lineman break through and cause a fumble that ended Powell's chances and should have ended West chances had HC hadn't turned over the ball.

Nevertheless, HC played great and deserved the victory. Those kids know how to win the games at the end.

Yeah it was very similar. West had their chances, just like Powell to win the game, but the more physical team won in both instances.

I'm not a fan of West so I have no dog in this but if #5 from West was 100% no way he gets touched on that kickoff.

That kid is fast. I'm surprised (and maybe it was because he was dinged up) they didn't give him the ball or throw a swing pass to him on their last two drives. If I remember correctly, they did try one hand off to Cottrell that was fumbled when HC busted through the line.

I didn't really think there was a huge disparity in size / physicality in either of their state title games (maybe more in the Powell game). HC just made more plays when they had to.

By the way, I didn't hear the obnoxious siren on TV last night. Did they leave it at home due to the weather. :p
