Coach Mac (Dave McGinnis)104.5 The Zone said he watched the game and in his observations Tennessee did not game plan for the game against Ball State they ran vanilla plays aka UT has better athletes we will just beat you heads up. So if that is true not much can be garnered about the D from the Ball State game.
Blaine Bishop on 1045 (Titans great, Ball State alum but son goes to UT) said Hooker missed a lot of throws high and even though many were caught it delayed the receivers getting upfield. That said, he commented how much better the team looked from last year and expects us to have a lot of success this fall.

It was backyard football
Meanwhile we got too see Pitt and Florida's playbooks, UT still has to stop dual threat qbs
Yes there is still a ? How we handle mobile QBs especially on 3rd down. Good thing Slovis is not mobile if he has a lot of yardage that will be telling and worrisome. He had minus 20 vs WV.

I'm talking about the coaches he had on staff.

I’m not so sure Pruitts staff was all that either. I’ll take Heupels staff on offense at every position over Pruitts. On defense, I’d take Heupel’s also. Garner & Martinez are better than anyone Pruitt had and Neidermeyer was just a gamer trying to coach linebackers for heavens sake.

He planned. He did what he was hired to do... prove that the "Fulmer brand" of football could still win. He applied a 1990's philosophy of play to the game now... and failed badly. Pruitt was bad. He was also an expression of Fulmer's vanity.
Working for UGA just fine. Any offense will work if executed.

Oh I'm not saying it was great by no means but my point is mainly being Chaney. Chaney is a solid coach, there's a reason he gets snatched up quickly any time he becomes available.

When the QB is getting the ball out in like 2 second or less it's sorta hard to sack him. (Ball State)

I fully expect KY to give Florida a helluva game this weekend at the swamp and wouldn’t be surprised if KY pulled off the “upset”, despite their lackluster performance last weekend and the gators “emergence.” The past few years in the stoops era have proven he can handle the gators fairly well. And college football always proves just when you think you have it figured out, you don’t.
