Thank you. "Bad" is actually being generous.

They were really bad, but what we saw was just better execution of this offense. We’ve had guys running wide open all year we just haven’t hit on the big plays consistently or the O line hasn’t given the QB enough time. If we continue to improve every week then the sky is the limit with this O

Does Hooker win 7 this year? If dude stays healthy and comes back next year are we actually competing for the East?! Anyone else want some orange kool aid?
Seven is realistic. Eight is possible with the way he's playing.

I don't think so next year. UT loses some key pieces. Heupel' HS recruiting class looks mostly like guys who will need to develop a year or two before playing. It will come down to replacing contributors from the portal. For good or ill, UT has UF, bye, LSU, and Bama across a 4 week span next fall. Next comes a break with UTM then UK and UGA. It is never easy... that looks particularly hard.

When he ran against Missouri it looked like Dobbs out there.

Get better every week and this offense could be lethal.
I love me some Hooker, but he's not quite the runner Dobbs was. Dobbs must be a good pool player, because when he got in the open field, he would build part of what he needed to avoid the next defender into his move to avoid the current defender. He was always a move ahead. I haven't seen that out of Hooker, but he's got another year of eligibility still. He's a better passer already, though. Go Vols!

I'm going to throw this out and take the shelling. Dobbs was a bit better running. Hooker is a more accurate passer. He's completing a higher % but more importantly he's more "accurate in the strike zone"... he's giving guys opportunities to make plays after the catch.

He shows flashes of what Dobbs did. If he comes back and I think we all hope he does sky is the limit.

Dobbs could make people miss in a phone booth. Hooker throws a beautiful ball but shows flashes of Dobbs running. It’s a great thing for Tennessee to have when they were unsure to begin the season.

Well said. Been a while since passes were hit in stride, a long while.
