Rumors I'm hearing are verbal he got into a verbal altercation with someone after being called on the carpet for saying something, presumably not very nice, to a young child. He was already on curfew.

I read sexual harassment on another board of a 10-11 yr old girl.

Apparently a good prospect at DE before this.

According to Knox News

'I can't go into details,' UT coach Phillip Fulmer said Wednesday morning. 'He didn't get arrested or anything like that, but he just improperly represented our team.'"

He's gone. From what i ahve heard, or havent heard, Henderson wasnt mentioned much about the D-Line rotation. Probably another LaRon Harris. But Im glad to see that the Law is being laid down. finally.

holy cow. talk about a bad week.

But i'll say it again like i did in the Mitchell thread....the coach can't prevent each and every incident that occurs. the only thing he can do is deal with them as they happen.

You know, going back and thinking about all the stuff i read after the season, you know these type of disciplinary issues were a big topic for him and the team heading in to this season....i just don't think it's an issue of guys not knowing anymore...

Some guys are just going to make bad decisions. the true test for CPF is what does he do about it? He's been accused, and rightfully so in some cases, of being too soft in giving 2nd and 3rd chances to guys. But that's also a credit to the guy, in some cases.

he's in a tough spot....but at this point, he's got to do what he's got to do....and it doesn't look like Henderson will be a problem any longer, and at this point, that's all you can say about it.

but jeez.....this does have "here we go again" written all over it.

Raymond Henderson is a pretty big loss for UT. He's an excellent DE prospect that would've played a big factor in future seasons, but he is by no means irreplaceable. It was said in one article that Henderson had been in Fulmer's "doghouse" a couple of times before. Henderson decided to act stupid at a very bad time... Fulmer was still in his rage about Mitchell.

Maybe sending a high-profile young player like Henderson packing for home will send a message to the entire team. Then again, they're college students (as am I)... and they'll most likely forget about this incident in a few weeks.

Is there any report on what he is alleged to have said or whether it was sexual? Not that they are in any way related, but I think that right now with the Duke thing any sort of sexual misconduct forces the coach wherever it happens to boot the player.

The only thing I've seen is that he may have said some explicit things in front of a child.

That would probably do it. Got to be zero tolerance for that.

Explicit like cursing and carrying on? If so, well..oops.

Innappropriate things in front / TO The child...big mistake. That should get punishment...

I hate speculating..I want to see what's up with this. We can't just say "he's got to go" without some explaination or details...which, we really have none of.

Was it directed at the mother or the ten year old? It's inappropriate either way, but if it was directed at the child that's a whole other level. If directed at the mother, he would have the excuse that he didn't see the little girl. Still bad, but not as epicly awful as spewing something at a child.

well sounds if fulmer has got complete control of his team. :aggressive:

"Henderson was not arrested but Fulmer found the incident disturbing enough to warrant dismissal. Henderson reportedly has been in Fulmer’s doghouse twice before."

Sure It's a start but.... if Henderson was already in Fulmer’s doghouse twice prior to this incident he still has a long long ways to go to gain control. Last year's off field troubles had some predicting a complete meltdown, I refused to believe it, but looking back they could be any more right. If a coach doesn't have his player's respect he has nothing. The bottom line if a coach is doing his job, his players do even think of acting this way. Last season was beyond embarrassing
