Not for a TD but has been burnt few times for ~10 yard gains... but berry is the best tackler in the team for sure...
Berry may be a better tackler than Hefney but he's not better than Mayo or McCoy.....yet

I don't think Berry has looked better. He's a really good tackler. He isn't better in coverage, in my opinion.

Berry is growing this kid is great. Ive been watching this kid for a while now and he is getting better as time goes on. I will enjoy watching him on Sundays also if he doesnt go work on teeth.

Does anyone consider that he probably has a lot more responsibility in the schemes since we start two true freshmen? He is probably having to do a lot more than just play his position while on the field. As far as the play where he was "burned" it was a great offensive play call and perfectly thrown ball. He is having to look at the whole field and not just cover one guy due to the freshmen. Give the guy a little break due to this.

I think i struck a nerve with some folks when i started this thread. If you are honest with yourselves you will have to agree that his play has not been up to standards. This kid was apreseason All American in several publications but i doubt he gets any All American press at the close of the season. Senior leaders do not get late hit out of bounds calls against them. I just feel that his play was better as a sophomore and junior than it has been thus far in his senior year.:salute:

Parys Haralson had about 50 personal fouls his senior season. Hefney hasn't played like an All-American, but he's doing much better now.

I concur, half the blown plays are him trying to make up for others mistakes, he has done more than fine-- until vinson came in our secondary was more than bad.

Hefney does his job.......he fields a punt...if he has a lane he takes it if not he fair catches the ball......now Safties get burnt all the time, not fair to point out him, there isnt a safety alive that doen's get burnt 1 or twice ecery 2 weeks......college or pros.......his mistackling is coming around and I feel secure when he is back there......just R E L A X, he is fine!!

Hefney played a good game. You know he my not be Ted Ginn or Devin Hester but he keeps a grip on that ball, Lucas Taylor had me taking crazy pills in 05.

He is going back to wrapping up on his tackles and he never was much of a coverage guy as much as he was a big hitter.

Hefney has been improving, begining with the Georgia game but man was that 15 yard personal foul he got against MSU, was, well he just wasn't thinking at all.

I swear, Hefney is the biggest loser on our team. He QUITS every single time he thinks he's beat. No wonder the defense quit against Florida. He is supposed to be leading the way and he's a bum. That is about the 5th or 6th time this season he's almost had his mouthpiece out before the WR even caught the ball.
We have to keep in mind the key word's that are surely in his head. (Draft Status)

There's a little bit of a difference between saying he hasn't played up to expectations and asking if "anybody on the staff has the nads to bench this has been".

I think you could get some people to agree with you about his play thus far, but unless you can think of a better option at Free Safety, the other comment doesn't make much sense.

Hefney made some awesome plays against Arky last week.

I especially liked the tackle in the backfield of McFadden
