I have been a huge UT fan all of my life, but guys, we have to get this chip off of some our shoulders. This "media hates us" stuff is pure BS. Why so many think ESPN doesn't give us fair coverage is the biggest load of baby BS I have ever heard. It all started with the Chris Fowler statement about 10 years ago. And Manning didn't win the Heisman. Everyone knows he should have and that is what matters. ESPN nor ABC gave it to Woodson...the voters did. Peyton had an AWFUL game agains Florida that year is the reason he didn't win it. ESPN shows our football games virtually every week we are not on CBS. We need to take some of the blame ourselves. We haven't played up to our potential in years. IN the last ten years, we have only finished ahead of our preseason rankings 3 times. The rest of the time we have finished much lower than we started all the while putting as many players in the pros as anyone....actually more than anyone except for one school. I watch every media outlet. I watch ESPN as much as anyone. I don't see any more bias against us than most any other school. If we win more, they will love us more...plain and simple. And my gosh, ESPN loves Bruce Pearl and Pat Summitt. We bring it on ourselves.

So have you not heard Lou Holtz??????
Iam not saying that it is all their fault but I mean you have to admit when someone says that TN is becoming a basketball school something isn't right.

Ohh and as far as the comment about TN becoming a basketball school, that maynot not have been said by ESPN I don't remember ,and I am not singleing them out, but Lou Holtz drives me crazy and when I say the media that is in genral.

Ohh and by the way anyone remember the last time Lou came to K-town to play us and he got beat in OT and the media went to talk to him and he slammed the door in their face????

Most people don't think that ESPN hates us, we just think, and for the most part know, that they are completely ignorant about football. Not to criticize capitalism or anything, but the only job of sports media is to make money and attract ratings. Therefore, the media thrives on controversy, and they skew the reality of every truth and fact that exists within the world of college football, which really does matter to the world of those who have lives involved with football, whether it be coaches or players.
