For my annual road trip I chose to go to Auburn. This is the first time I've ever been there. Anyone who has been...do you have any advice? Where to park, hang out or good places to eat.

I had fun when I went, but I was in college, and my roommate knew a bunch of guys down there. So I just stuck with them. Their fans played Rocky Top all day, then kicked our butts. (2003) But overall they were pretty nice. You can always talk to them about how much you hate Georgia and Alabama.

Auburn is a good time, small little college town. They throw toilet paper everywhere down there. Have a good time, I was going to go but passed on the tickets. The plains is a LOUD place.

Why would anyone want to go down there and see the carnage? If Auburn plays the Vols like they played against LSU last night, we'll have another ugly one hung on us.

I haven't been there in e few years. When I was, it was a small town just off the Interstate. There was a Holiday Inn on the Exit nearby

Section 62, Row 35. In other words, high up!

Frustrated, but already had plans and tix, so I'm gonna ride it out. Auburn's a good place to see a game. And before, I'll contribute to the Auburn economy one beer at a time.

Recommendations for a few good pre-game bars? I think instead of tailgating this year, we are just going to hit the bars.

I went in 98 great game 2 remember... we won 17-9 ellis with the fumble recovery 4 a td ,jamal got hurt, and the best goal line stand I have every seen...Cant remember much about the surroundings ( i was 9), but it was a small town from what the parents say, and I do remember it was very loud

With it being a relatively early game the bar scene will be limited at best but I would look toward either.....

SkyBar Café | Auburn, Alabama
or
bodega-auburn [Official Site]
or
the Bourbon Street Bar

I like all three and they will be packed on gameday.

If you stay that night look toward
The War Eagle Supper Club b

With game time being what it is I would just try to set up tailgate though.

Just decided to go instead of selling our tickets. Mainly because I want to see the stadium/campus. This will be SEC stadium #9 I think for me and as bad as the result will probably be, I just wanted to experience a game in Jordan-Hare.

We are driving down Saturday morning and then driving back after the game (from Chattanooga). Where would be the best place to park if we aren't going to do much tailgating or anything? We thought about trying to park near whatever building is hosting the Big Orange Tailgate. Opinions (other than seel the tickets and watch the game from the couch)?

For the record, I have already subjected myself to attending the first 3 games so why not go for more. :cray:

This presents little bit of a problem. Our school has been on a tear the last 5-7 years shrinking on campus tailgating. I imagine if you are later than 10 getting into town, campus itself will pretty well be unavailable. I got into town last week for the 6:45 ball game at 11:00 and could not get onto campus and had to hoof it from off campus to our normal tailgate spot.
Like most places there are no set places to send people to tailgate but I think you will find everyone accommodating in their attempts to help you get a space.

Make sure you go to Tiger Walk, I know every school has one of these now, but Auburn has been doing it for a long time and it is a really cool scene. Other than that make sure you're in your seat early enough to see the Bald Eagle swoop down on the field...pretty neat

Thanks for bringing that up Stevo. I was going to make another post but work keeps getting in the way.

Tiger walk happens about 2 hours before kickoff and you need to be in your seat and drink mixed 30 minutes before kickoff to catch the pregame involving the eagle.

It has been many years since I went to a game at Auburn, but I will say that they had some of the nicest fans around.
