Since everyone is throwing out names for Fulmer replacement including myself lets add Jeff Fisher of the Titans to the wish list. At Least if he came to UT he would be more popular in the State then where he is now.

Fisher's a pretty good idea. While we're at it, I'd like to toss Tony Dungy's name in the hat as well.

I was just about to post this.

Fisher is a survivor in the NFL. That is no easy task. I would bet we would have one of the best defenses in the nation under Fisher. Defensive linemen would flock to UT. He is very smart and still somewhat youthful. He is also very good at PR.

He's also got as much job security as any coach in the NFL, and a young playoff team to go along with it.

Fisher would have no reason at all to look at switching gears and taking his playbook to the college game.

fisher would only go the southern Cal if pete Carroll vacated other than that he is gonna stay in nashville

I think that Fisher got a divorce a couple of years ago. Except for his graying mustache, which could be fixed with a couple of bottles of "Just for Men" he would be the perfect competition for Pearl with the babes on the Fort Loudon yachts.

If fact, knowing just how competitive both men are, we could have some cage matches between the Fisher and Pearl on Friday nights during the off season with the winner getting the week with the best looking babe.

Heck, we can use the money for a good cause, paying off Fulmer's contract.

Thinking of that and since Fulmer would still be under obligation to the university, we can have a main card on Saturday nights with Fulmer in a sumo wrestling bout.

I like Fisher as an NFL coach. However, the NFL is a different type game. Fisher is conservative, plays it close to the vest, keeps it close if he can, and hopes to pull the game out in the 4th quarter. He is not a coach that plays well when having to come from behind.To me, the SEC, is more about the spread offense and opening things up a little. Good coach, but not the right fit for us. JMHO.

I guess I have to eat some crow now. Titans hung in there tonight after being down. Came back and won the game.

Fisher has balls of steel. People knock him, but that man can coach. He's not coming to Knoxville though, although I'd love it if he did.
