Why would the Nights King go through the Wall when he can just go around it.
From what I've always understood, the wall is as much a magical barrier as it is a physical one, as such they cannot just go around it. I'm pretty sure I saw this question asked of Martin a long time ago on a fan forum, and this was the gist of his answer.

Euron made one helluva entrance. Theion's decision there was unsurprising but still cringe worthy. Yara was already dead at that point. We know what Cersai's gift is going to be.
Not sure if it was just the director on this one, but I didn't like the over use of the shaky camera effects during the ship battle. GoT has been good about avoiding that up until this point. Hope it's not a trend
