Have you guys noticed that Finebaum loves us now?

I used to not be able to stand him, but it's probably because he dogged the program... and I wouldn't admit for just cause. Joke of an AD and coaching hires. Now we got a coach he likes and respects, and he sees the team is good just getting injured everywhere.

I really believe he loves UT,and has shown more emotion than I have ever seen. He just don't want to make it obvious, because most of his audience is from the state below us. If we beat Bama,we will see it come out.

David Pollack....yes, that David Pollack from Georgia defended us today on ESPN. The topic of "Will Tennessee's luck run out this week" was being debated. He said basically "how in the world was Tennessee lucky when they went on a 38-0 run vs Florida?". And he was 100% spot on IMO.

I'd like to see Paul sporting a houndstooth hat prior to the Alabama-Tennessee match-up in a pregame setting, and him pull the hat off with a Power T painted on the chrome dome.

Finebaum is an alumni and has always been a fan of TN but you can't talk about and boast about a program that has been down 10 years on your radio and tv show. He's been holding this in for a while.

This is true but he has made a living being your basic Bama homer in the press. The tv gig is relatively new, but prior to that he paid state income taxes in Alabama.

Lol,don't think he will due to making most of his audience mad. Would be cool though.

He was based in Bama for a while wasn't he, before he went national? Point is if you're based in Oklahoma, you're not going to play to the Longhorn crowd are you? I'll be the first to admit, I despised Finebaum for a long time but over time he has grown on me. He's a pretty straight shooter IMO when it comes to college football. At least lately anyway.

Yep, now that we are winning again, Paul suddenly remembers where he got his diploma. :ermm:

He's all about making money, and right now UT is hot and talking about them makes him money!

I like old Pawl. I think he's been dyeing to let his orange show for a long time.

People keep acting like this is a shock. Finebaum (and to a lesser extent Clay Travis) has been wanting Tennessee to be good for a long time, but Dooley screwed it up and Butch choked some wins away last year. They are going to ride this train as long as they can because 1. They're actually fans and 2. We are some of the best fans in the country and can make them a lot of money/get a lot of exposure as a result of our success.

It's just business. No need to take it personally.
