Have to be glad we kept Dooley

Or he could have gotten a prompt firing after the KY game, Hart pays up big for a proven coach and recruiter for HC who then fills his staff quickly and effectively without the fear of the immediate future (Dooley). With Dooley we are settling for mediocrity. Hope it works out for him to some degree.

I have decided that I would have more respect with Dooley if he had simply fired everybody on staff and started the Saturday night after the UK game. Essentially that is what is happening anyway. Can't say it is not embarrassing.

Should have just started handing the pink slips out in the fourth quarter.

Sounds like a good theory but the facts are that no one wants this job. Firing Dooley and paying him a $5,000,000 buyout just to hire another mediocre coach would be stupid.
Until Hart has a great coach ready to take the job and replace Dooley, I suggest we keep Dooley.
Hart needs to put out feelers now, as to Dooley's possible replacement. He will be prepared when the time comes.

I have been a big supporter of Dooley, but this hire could put me on the flip side. Hope it is RS!

I mean honestly I want to know what good firing Dooley today would actually do?? You HAVE to give him this year to have STABILITY! We may go 6-6 or 7-6 and I am all with you guys that want him gone... But firing him right now is not the way to go... Firing him now would only send our program into a deeper hole than it already is... Just suck it up and try and make the best out of our situation right now.. A 6-6 season with a Sh**y coach is way better than a 2-10 season with NO COACH... Suck it up and let the man try and do what he said he's going to do..

When I thin of attrition, I usually think of players...
With us, it seems to be coaches.

Alabama has lost as many coaches this year as we have. One more year, and if we hire a bunch of flunkies it will be on Hart as well as Dooley.

I agree Dooley has been loyal so far and we have been patient. I am sure no one wants success more than Dooley. Let's give him 2 more years and then we can accurately assess his job here.

I hope. Well, I hoped after the UK game Hart would have his feelers goin on already... but I know he gets one more season but do you see us firing him midseason and promoting someone to interim to aid the search for a perm.?

Why would it be so bad if we canned him now? Its pretty bad right now we are a laughingstock now in the SEC.
