This young man had taken a lot of criticism in the past couple of weeks but he and the rest of the replacements on that interior line we're amazing in that second half. They deserve a lot of credit.

Boulware did a great job when he came in as well. OLine is looking better and better. We'll need all of it next week.

Didn't Thomas have sore/injured ankles the first few weeks while he was catching all of the criticism and is now healthy?

Why would play someone that injured instead of healthy Jack Jones which when they did put him in and moved the rg to center the offense took off. That was a dumb personnel move.

The criticism was mostly from folks on these boards...the coaches knew he had limited mobility but believed he was our best option...but playing kept him from getting well. So now he has sat out enough to be pretty close to 100%...

If in fact Thomas was a hurt as he was and it was affecting his play that bad, the staff did him a huge disservice letting him on the field.

exactly. they KNEW. they KNEW. they KNEW he could barely walk and played him anyway. it's pretty evident by Weisman's play they were WRONG.

Thomas' play was horrible, plain and simple early in the season. Neither he nor the staff made a big deal of it but his performance suffered horribly. Only after he was pulled did we read of how bad the ankles were, BUT it does not excuse the poor performance. If he was that injured he never should have been out there and THAT is on the staf not the player.

the kicker is that Butch commented that he had watched CT having his ankles taped and they were both black and blue.

When you aren't worthy and get shoved around the field opposing team members tend to step on your ankles as they're making their way through you to your QB.

I definitely agree with this statement. That was on the coaches to put him on the edge with swollen/injured ankles. He I was the father I would have spoken to Butch about not putting my son in a position for success

Maybe he was getting shoved around because his ankles were sore? Maybe, just maybe?
