I just don’t see it. Our running backs are great especially Evans performance. Allowed a 126 ranked out of 127 offense March down the field on us keep it close. Qb position IMO is wide open. I could almost see 2 qbs playing equal time next game.

March down the field? I agree I would have loved to have seen a 3 and out on every drive but let’s be a little realistic we aren’t that good even if Tom Landry was our coach. Did Milton suck? Pretty much but the defense actually showed improvement for most of the game along with the running game. We aren’t a good team but did show some improvement in certain areas.

I respect your opinions but to as I see it we got a qbs that you take the analogy of a pitcher with a great fast ball he just can’t throw a strike. Strong but slow. Alabama Georgia Florida can you imagine they’ll be in the background all day.

Team was better coached and at times, seemed more into the game and energetic. We'll continue to improve and rebuild the culture, but this is and always was a 6-7 win team at best. The talent just isn't there....especially at qb. If we had a difference maker at that position, it could help offset some of our other deficiencies, but we don't have that guy right now. Folks just need to enjoy every win we can muster and hope to see improvement while keeping in mind the fact that we're a basketball/baseball school now and those seasons are rapidly approaching!

We were holding back. No need to beat the very worst team in football any worse. Can’t show BAMA what we got yet.
I think when being sarcastic you’re supposed to use blue color for your post.
BAMA knows exactly what we got and I imagine their third string players are salivating over the chance they’ll have to play a full game.

I don't know if we were "hiding" anything from Pitt or not but I feel like regardless, we should've big-boy'd that team last night more than we did. We definitely left points on the field due to QB/WR play.

Also on defense, we were stout against their running game but our lack of getting to the QB and creating turnovers against that team really concerns me. Also we still give up WAY too much passing yardage on slants and dump passes. It was infuriating at times seeing BG move the ball in the air between the 20's.

This is a totally fair post and about where my head is. If Milton can"t read the blitz from BG and he didn't and turned the ball over, he has no shot against UF, UGA, and Bama fo' sho, most likely none of our SEC opponents. He's not that quick either, he may have been a 4.6 guy sometime in his career but it wasn't last night at Neyland, nor are we likely to see that this season out of him. Milton has to dazzle me against Pitt or I'm mentally checked out on his being successful in the SEC.

His turnover came Because the lineman whiffed the block completely though. Had nothing to do with reading the defense
