Lifelong Husky here. As in : UConn’s first women’s coach, Sandra Hamm, was a friend in Vermont. And I can still spell Bialosuknia…the Poughkeepsie Popper.

But I’m now officially old…and I no longer like the word “hate”. Actually like the word ”friend” a lot better.
And this old New England boy has never been to Knoxville. Or even the state of Tennessee.

And it’s just one long drive from my home in Kansas City, MO. So….I plan to attend this season’s game.

Advice ?

I’m married to a girl from Gardner, KS. KC is a good town.

I think if they are to travel all the way out to California they would schedule another game in the west while they're there. Awful long way to travel for just one game.

It's easy not to hate when one team has been relegated to an afterthought the last decade. That's how I put up with Alabama football. Let us start putting that beatdown on UCONN and winning ships again. Then come back like a golly gee ole pal.

I would do Clingman's Dome,,,but if you do do Cades Cove, go at dusk or dawn to see animlas,,,they don't come out in mid-day
