If you need to merge that’s fine.

But I wanted to take a chance to say this while fans are all in unison.

Currie is just a puppet for The Haslams.

They control everything over there and that’s why we are terrible. Including the media outlets.

I loved what I saw from our fans today but we haven’t won yet!

DO NOT LET UP!!!
KEEP PILING ON!!!

WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO THROW THE HASLAMS NAMES OUT EVERYWHERE, ON SOCIAL MEDIA, ON MESSAGE BOARDS, TO FRIENDS, FAMILY, SOURCES.

They want to work in the dark in silence behind the scenes. The last thing they want is for their names to be everywhere with displeasure from the fans.

We have gotten people’s attention now it’s time to make them listen, get the HASLAMS out, Fire Currie and all the other puppets over there.

Who's orders do you think Currie follows?

Look, it may be popular and the "cool" thing to pile on the Haslams, but bottom line is that John Currie is the AD and HE screwed this up. Currie could care less about a successful athletic program.

The buck stops at the AD's desk. The 3am phone call came and John Currie failed at his task to make the right hire. 100% on John Currie.

Currie could care less about a successful athletic program.... isn’t that kind of his job to build one? I guess when you’re a yes man to the Haslams you don’t care.

Again. Buck stops at AD's desk. Haslams have given millions of dollars to UT. They have invested a lot of resources into our program. They are good people.

I get it. Your mad. I am too. I'm just directing my frustration at the person who in reality is actually in charge: John Currie. He's shown that he is in way over his head and disdains TN fans/alumni. This whole thing is on him.

So you don’t think Currie (who the Haslams courted to Davenport) didn’t speak to the Haslams about Schiano. And it also just so happens that Schiano was in the running for the Browns coaching gig a few years back. Lord come on. I understand they have given a lot to UT but that doesn’t mean we all need to let them run the show. The Haslams are power hungry and that’s all there is to it.

I have been a fan for a long time . The Haslams are running the show and have been for a long time. This has always been a problem just like at Auburn .

I hear you. Of course the Haslams knew about it. Most major donors did probably know.

But demonizing the Haslams is a false narrative. If you were "power hungry," would your target of manipulation be a public university full of 18-22 year olds? No. That's just dumb. They have made massive investments into UTK, not to control a student body of young adults, but to give back to their community. As an alumni, I'm extremely appreciative.

I'm pissed about this, but we need to direct it at Davenport and most importantly, Currie.

You are wrong buddy sorry. The Haslams are to blame for every crappy coach we have had since running off Fulmer. Now if it were just Currie that has screwed up a coaching hire, then your argument would hold weight.

Thats not the case. Both Hamilton and Hart royally screwed up the coaching hires at UT. All UT ADs have bowed and kissed the Haslams ring. Its part of the job. It is what it is. Until the Haslams are gone Tennessee will continue to suffer.

I’m sure Davenport and Currie will both get theirs, but do you not realize that by connecting the dots that the Haslams are the guiding hand in everything that happened today?

Haslams are very interested in Schiano as Browns head coach,Blackburn was a shoe in for the new AD, Davenport gets on a plane to Manhattan Kansas with Haslam to meet Currie, Currie is hired before they return to Knoxville. Now Currie goes to the Bahamas in the middle of a coaching search because he surely “has his guy” aka Schiano, how was Schiano even considered when he went 68-67 at Rutgers and got fired from Tampa Bay? Oh yeah the Haslams......

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Haslams are VFLs. You may not like them, but they've done more for UT than me or anyone else I know.

Let’s put the money to the side for a second and just connect the dots.

Yeah and we are seeing what they have done. I am sure they have done some good, but the bad far outweighs the good.

Exactly! I mean imagine if they would let the Athletic Department conduct a coaching search without them. I think the university would benefit greatly from having a championship caliber football team. I mean $102,455 every Saturday is a lot of money.
