Haslam strikes again

Isn't Jimmy a life long Steeler's fan? Seems odd that he should own a team from Pittsburgh's same division.

He was a former minority owner of the Steelers. When you get an opportunity to own an NFL franchise you take it. He's probably doubled his money since buying the Browns in 2012.

Cant believe he lasted this long.... I watched the steelers and browns game yesterday and the browns look pathetic.

No, when members of the Rooney family had to sell their shares of the Steelers in 2008 because they also owned horse racing interests, Haslam bought a small share in hopes it would provide an edge to buying a franchise of his own when one became available. Similar to what David Tepper did whe he bought a minority share of the Steelers before buying Carolina however he was a Pittsburgh native.
