Has Neyland lost some volume ?

In my opinion it was louder than 2006 Cal. Oddly enough I was sitting in almost the same part of the stadium for both games. But I’m with you, every able bodied man needs to do his part and stand and yell for the defense. To me it’s a privilege to get to be at Neyland and everyone should want to give their all or get the hell out.
Now that I think about it, the 3rd quarter of that game is probably the loudest I ever heard it. Even more than the end of UF a couple years earlier. The first half was already crazy loud, but it went to a whole other level with each successive TD right after halftime. Between it being the season opener, the late afternoon kickoff, the horrible way way 2005 had gone, the Cal QB talking **** about it not being loud beforehand, and how well we played, it was just the perfect storm.

I know for a fact it's not as loud as it could be. Can't get people around me to yell. Needs to be sustained noise like Oklahoma game was for the big games. The wine and cheese crowd are hurting the atmosphere at all UT sports
That's kind of hard to maintain for 3+ hours when it's in the mid 90's and hotter than balls outside. Doesn't help all of our games have been day games.
