Hart's comments on Dooley

Just wondering, but who exactly decided Derek Dooley is on the hot seat?? Sports writers?.. I know that we all want Tennessee to succeed and we want it now, but that doesn't mean he's on the hot seat... He's only on the hot seat if Hart is not seeing the progress he feels he should (which he is obviously liking what he sees)... I just think it's comical how everyone is writing about how we have to win X amount of games for home to keep his job, when no one wants to set us back 3-4 more years by changing to a New coach lol

Hell yes. This is what I believe and I'm glad Hart sees it too. We will be back with a young HC and great staff.

Sumerize for those of us blocked at work?

Dave Hart just on @JimmyHyams show. Asked if Dooley buyout would be hurdle in light of budget issues. Hart said this: "I believe we need stability and not transition in key positions. I really like Derek Dooley, and I really like this football staff. I get a chance to see it every day. I can seen the internal progress that is being made. I'm excited about where we're going. I'm exciting about the direction we're moving. Derek, like other coaches here, inherited a substantial rebuilding job."

The bigger issue is the BS question from Jimmy. What a fudged up thing to ask during opening game week. Jimmy definitely has something against CDD.

We need stability. He likes the staff and believes they are making progress because he gets to see it every day. Excited in the direction being taken and Coach Dooley "inherited a substantial rebuilding job".

That's about it.

***Edit***
Or just read the whole thing that someone posted above me. :eek:lol:

What do you expect him to say? "He better win 9 games or he is toast." Wake up. He's on the hot seat. I for one think he'll get it done this year, barring any injuries, but don't kid yourselves. You lose to UK and finish last in the SEC east and your seat is hot as hell.

Hart??? Are you sure??? The reason that I say that is because Hamilton gave Fulmer an extension after the 2007 S.E.C. Championship game. However; a few months later, the "Powers that Be" forced Hamilton's hand to fire Fulmer.
If Hart wants to keep Dooley but the "Powers that Be" don't want to keep him, then what?
If Hart wants to fire Dooley but the "Powers that Be" want to keep Dooley, then what??
Will it really be Hart's decision ultimately????
