Just on the difference between pro sports and college - pros sign contracts and have collective bargaining agreements that make certain aspects of their rights to privacy null - specifically their injury status - the league and the players are concerned about hiding injures and its effects on odds and the huge gambling business. Colleges players sign LOIs and do not waive their rights to privacy and most states outlaw betting on college sports - when NJ decided to allow college betting, the NCAA relocated some tournament games I believe.
Good news for Izzy - very happy for her.
(But just FYI - walking with a torn ACL is not a problem - people have actually continued playing games after an ACL tear - there often isn't a lot of pain and swelling may be minimal and delayed. I tore my ACL and have lived the last 15 years without having it fixed - but then I am an armchair athlete!)
