The more I watch of this kids highlights and games, the more I like him. He seemed to have college level skills as a junior and senior in high school. He is cool under pressure and stands tall in the pocket. Is able to sense backside pressure and can avoid it. Is able to check down to his 2nd and 3rd receivers. Can throw to a spot and let the pass go even before the receiver has turned his head or made his break. Very accurate throws even in traffic. Mobile enough to make the defense pay for leaving a wide open running lane. Good size at 6' 5", can see all the field.

The only two things I would like to see him work on is a faster release, and his long ball accuracy.

I really think this kid is the real deal. We haven't had a kid on campus like him at the QB position in a long time. The Vols have stacked depth in a lot of areas and that will continue to get better. If Bailey develops properly and stays healthy he could be the key to getting back to Atlanta in 2021 or 2022. He is the future.

hope so. If JG has his brain dead issues from past 2 seasons, and I hope he has a great yr, we may find out sooner than later on him. i remember Manning didn't nail down starting job until later in freshman yr. I'm seeing nothing but upsides for Vols going forward. And may I say, damn its about time!!!

I don't think JG is brain dead.

Perhaps he has been over coached, listens and remembers all he is told. He does not play like it is a game. Over thinks, maybe, but not brain dead.

That's what I think too. Holding the ball too long means he is still processing. His best throws have came when a guy was about to crush him and he was forced to make a decision. He cannot feel back side pressure. That's a big time concern. If he can play the game with more instincts and less thinking he would be just fine for the most part.

I agree and I'm really high on HB. I thought he had a legit chance to win the starting job before Covid. Whoever the QB is, we need to be able to run the football. I really hope our Oline come live up to its potential especially if Cade is cleared to play.

Like Rodgers said RELAX, and don't over think the play, sometime just run the play that is called,

Reminds me of a young Ben Roethlisberger. I'm excited to see what he can do surrounding once again by a talented support team.
