KNS reports on its pay site that Hardesty injured his left knee while working out this spring and will require surgery. According to the article this injury should not keep him out this season, but he probably won't participate in fall practices. I wonder if it is time to pull out the redshirt?

It's starting to look like Hardesty will never be healthy enough to play. :banghead:

i'd definitly redshirt him. He would be a 4 year back up behind Foster anyways. Redshirt him, and he can take over when Foster is gone.

UT has some good depth at RB anyways, with Foster and Coker.
The lack of depth at DE and the OL is the biggest concern now.

Redshirt....no point in being another disappointing RB plagued by injuries. Let him heal, practice, and become another power in a few years. You can never have enough good RB's, especially in the SEC.

You gotta redshirt him, but if he doesn't want to be, then they probably won't redshirt him

Sounds like Hardesty = Kevin Simson. Great talent, but can't stay heathly enough to show it off :ermm:

Nothing negative about that. I'm sure that the most positive of Vols are tired of injuries.
