last week I told you about the week leading up to the Kentucky game and how Da'rick Rogers should've been suspended for that game and how not only players had lost faith in Coach Dooley but some of his coaches had lost respect for the guy as well. I told you how Dave Hart had the meeting with Dooley and all went well and Dooley got to keep his job. I know you already knew that and had told your listeners about Dooley having a team meeting and apologizing for some of his behavior. You would think after all that, Dooley would've realized that he needed to change his demeanor somewhat. Well that’s not the case, Hart had to force the guy to hold the press conference back on January 3rd, the one where he opened by saying he had granted DeAnthony Arnett his full release. It was also Hart who had to clear that matter up by forcing Arnett's release upon Dooley. Dooley didn’t have a change of heart, it was forced down his throat.

Lance Thompson, Lance didn’t leave because they hired Sal Sunseri over him. He left because of the way it was all handled. Dooley didn’t even give him an interview (which at the very least) he deserved and I heard the same thing you did, that Lance let him have it.

I'll finish with what I heard today on some possible hires. Marion Hobby is the top choice to replace Lance, a couple of other names mentioned for that position are Steve Stripling from Cincinnati and Clint Hurtt from Louisville. Rich Bisaccia is still the top choice for special teams coach and another name I’m hearing is Jason Michael who's also on the Chargers staff. Michael started here as a G.A and was the tight ends coach here in Fulmer's last year. That's all for now, take care!

What about that is hard to believe? Most of it sounds like Dooley acting like a jackass, which is what he's been best at since arriving in Knoxville. If this is true, it's good to know that Hart had the good sense to step in and force Dooley to let Arnett go.

Good god no. Please tell me you don't believe the crap Basilio and Hyams spew.

All the "inside info" of Dooley being a jackass has come from these two butthurt reporters with their smear campaign they've had for Dooley. Anyone who cannot see that from JH and ToB must be blind.

Its funny how you except this as the truth, coming from the source. You do know that none of the Knoxville media has any inside into the program, right?

Thats why they cant get anything right on the hires or anything else going on

I have had enough of ALL these knoxville media guys hating on all things vols...they can go suck an egg...

It's pathetic when u make things up about a program who in a sense, pays ur bills because u are bitter you don't have access to privileged info anymore...eff them all! And eff clay Travis in Nashville too...I wish all the others would move down there and cover candy, oops-vandy instead of our vols.

And I love it. It's fun to watch them grasp at straws knowing the situation. But for someone not close to the program, or the dumb hicks who actually listen to their shows and accept these things as truth it's damaging to our image.

I really wish the University would release a public statement announcing that no media member has an "inside source" and that their info should be taken with a grain of salt.

much more accurate

Its more fun for them to believe that they are right about Dooley and anything negative is just good for their agenda.

Its really sad

If Maury Povich had a crackhead on his show, claiming that Dooley was the father of her child, they would believe it

I also heard Dave Hart made Dooley put SEC Championship game, BCS bowl, and top 25 on the team goals posted in the locker room even though Dooley strongly opposed

I didn't say I necessarily accept it as the truth, just that it doesn't seem like that much of a reach to me for Dooley to have acted like this. Like I said, if Dooley really was trying to block the Arnett transfer, I'm just glad we have an AD with enough common sense to force Dooley to let him go.
