taking the rest of the week off, headed up to the 'burgh to visit with the in laws and get some good eats.

also going to catch a Pens and Steeler game while we're there, so looking forward to that as well........hopefully the steelers will have a bettter showing than they did Sunday.......

but wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday, be safe travelling and GO VOLS this weekend!!!!

enjoy it, and remember, we are supposed to be thankful this time of year, and i'd bet most all of us have plenty to be thankful for......

so......enjoy, and i'll check in with y'all later.......hopefully to celebrate our trip to Hotlanta and to discuss the LSU game!!!!

Your in-laws dont live in the South Hills of the Burgh do they? you could definately wear flip-flops today.

They are putting up an outdoor ice skating rink out here in uptown charlotte right now. Skate on slush! :birgits_giggle:

Its on South College Street I believe. If you know where Uno's is downtown, Uno's is like two buildings down from it. I did not know about it until this morning when someone pointed it out of the window, one of the nice reasons to work in a high rise, get to see alot!

i wonder who is funding that thing.......maybe one of the dumbest ideas i've ever heard. I can only imagine what it will cost to keep that thing frozen.

that's like putting a beach volley ball court in down town Pittsburgh.:crazy:

they have the rink up downtown, people were skating yesterday.

that weather will be here for Thanksgiving. Sleet and snow here today, made for a good morning to skip out of work early and hunt the cedars

Oh I agree, while I think it would be fun, but like I said skating on slush! :birgits_giggle: Its in a stupid location too, I mean yeah its great that its in center city, but its also in the middle of buildings and construction, just what you want to see while you ice skate. They should have put it in the Panther Stadium, they actually might look the same playing on ice. :eek:lol:
