My dad about got choked up talking to my brother about my pap a few minutes ago. I can't imagine how hard this is on him.

I hope you all had a great Fathers Day.

I spent time with my kids, and spent most of the day working on the house of a friend of ours. They moved here from MI last week and we have spent all week trying to get it remodeled so they can actually move into it. It is a freaking struggle.

But, got time with my daughters (no pics) my boy, and my two current fosters. Our newest foster has never had a dad to tell "Happy fathers Day" so it was an interesting day for her.

Also got a couple text messages from former fosters that are now in college, and/or Army.

Called my dad back in MI. He is battling and kicking the daylights out of Cancer's ass. He is a rock. At 78 he is still running a heating and cooling business, while taking Chemo once a week. He's pretty stinking incredible.

Oh, and the kids bought me a key lime pie!!

He doesnt come down to visit unless I have a HoneyDo list from my wife that is big enough to keep him busy while he is here. Although he has promised a visit in September, as their 50th anniversary trip, to see my kid row for the LadyVols!!

and this is the other thing that my pops taught me...when the work is done, you have to cut loose a little bit.

Here are my boy and I riding in his spaceship. He says he is going to play baseball and be an astro-nut when he is older!

Thats awesome. (That makes her either LM or IP and I really cannot profile anyone enough to make that guess. But I have met both of the GAs, just briefly) My kid was a novice this past year. She is working her tail off this summer, getting ready for the fall. She loves it, it is the perfect sport for her. It is all about the size of your heart.

Those girls are freaks of nature!!
