I agree with that statement. But who has the majority of the funny moments? Seems that if you are focusing more attention to the character that always has a one liner handy, it could lend it self to a more humorous movie.

I don't care that they replaced Lord\Miller Just think it will be darker with Opie at the helm.

Splash was one dark flick.

This ain't 2001 and A Beautiful Mind was just a bit past ok. Before then yes, Backdraft, Splash, Willow all great but you make movies out of Dan Brown books you are a hack, no if and or buts.

There's so many different movies they could've made... A whole universe, all the different characters and time periods, yet they chose to go this route. I still have some hope left for it with the change in directors, though.
