So I know everyone has their "guy" they would like to see come coach here if Fulmer goes but if you were Hamilton, who would your top 5 coaching candidates be.

Mine are:

1. Brent Venables
2. Charlie Strong
3. Bo Pellini
4. Brian Kelly
5. Chris Peterson

Does anybody think that Leavitt is really going to leave for another school. I have to think that he is going to take the bait eventually.

Tennessee from Cincy is a no brainer. If he said no, he would be proving he was not as right for the job as I think...

That's not my point. I just don't see him leaving the school so quickly. But the upgrade would definitely be enticing. It would obviously be easier to lure him away than trying to get Dantonio

I really don't think he is. Doesn't keep him off my wishlist though.

Brian Kelly should be there, no doubt about it. I don't think Cincy could match the money UT could offer, so he would jump at the chance to be in the SEC.

I left of Leavitt and Schiano because both of those guys have said they are not leaving.

1. Dennis Erickson
2. Jim Cheney
3. Mike Leach
4. Chris Peterson
5. Tim Lappano

No way we want ML to be head coach at UT. He is such a strange guy. He has this odd obsession with pirates, and this year's motto for the raiders is "sling your sword" (meaning don't be hesitant). Leach has done great things in building TTU's offense, but his defenses are never strong. TTU has peaked in recent years in terms of success, and I don't believe that Leach would be an improvement over our current staff.

I don't know about his weirdness, but the defense does concern me. I just think that can be solved with a coordinator. he clearly has offense down - putting up points on some good defenses in the big 12 south.

Polini
Venables
Kelly
Gary Patterson
Gruden

Also another name to throw out there could be Marvin Lewis. A lot of Bengals fans are not happy with him right now. Don't know how well he would translate into a college coach.
