According to Jimmy Hyams. Who other than Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin, who I think would leave then and come here or are not currently employed, could it be?

Just about anyone not gunning for a national championship. Regular season ends by 12/1...which just means it won't be Saban or Meyer.

I'm pretty sure all conferences are done with regular season on Nov 29.

How does this work?
Can they announce as soon as the season is over as long as they arent in the conference championship game?
I know they can do it before their bowl game.

That date means it could be just about anyone...and definitely any of the names we've been mentioning. When is the ACC Title game?

This year's ACC game isn't until December 6th. That would likely rule out Butch Davis.

Actually they do not control their destiny to the ACC title game. They are tied in con. record with Va. Tech, and lost the head to head matchup. If VT beats Miami this week they have Duke and UVA left on their schedule and would likely be headed to the ACC CG over UNC.

I would say that points to a college coach for sure. I keep hearing that Davis is the front runner. I can't say I would disagree with that either. Getting Davis in ASAP would help keep the recruiting class intact. If Davis is your guy then you should pull for VT to beat Miami Thursday night.

You can announce you are leaving before the end of the regular season can't you? And even if you can't I KNOW you can after the regular season. At least Rich Rod did it!

I have to believe that means Kiffin

Why? They could announce LK at anytime. I'll say this as well. If it is LK then UT is making a big mistake by not announcing now to allow recruits the chance to calm down and to calm the fans. That actually makes me think it is not LK. If they name LK later that means we were turned down by who we wanted first.
