Hamilton not afraid....

He says he's not afraid because his alma mater just made a coaching change. He's gotta talk it up real big and bad if he ever wants to join forces with his old school again.

Just read the article. I think it's great that he made it loud and clear that they have the financial means to buy out CPF. Reading the AD's words gives me hope that we won't have to suffer through another embarrassing season. I'd love to see Kiffen or someone of that caliber step in.

Said all the right things. We'll see, some things in there have me thinking the end is very near.

Well you also have to think that maybe the KNS printed only what we wanted to hear. You know that everyone at KNS, except for Adams, licks the athletic department's butt.

Sounds like they're already worried about the numbers crunch. Phil should start packing some of his stuff now.

The fact that he is even talking about it is huge. If things were hunky-dorey over there, I would not expect him to be speaking of it.

All that said, Hamilton oozes sleeze to me.

“I think there’s some fan apathy out there, yeah, without question, but I do think there’s a lot of people that still want to be a part of that (Tennessee football) experience,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton said finances won’t be an issue if a change is made. He said there is a $7 million reserve in place to cover such unforeseen expenses. That would nearly cover the cost of the football coaches’ buyouts, which Hamilton said could be over $7.5 million. That figure depends on whether coaches are hired elsewhere.

:whistling:

I hate to say this, but so does Bruce Pearl. Reminds me of a guido, but man do I love him

Somethings gotta be going down. The AD wouldn't come out and publicly give CPF an ultimatum unless they were fully prepared to go through with it. Could you imagine the riot in knoxville if CPF goes 6-6 and doesn't get canned? Not even Peyton's endorsement could save him.

I'll have to disagree. Mike Strange is objective.

Hamilton, however, admitted that a lower buyout may have been possible considering Fulmer has rarely shown sincere intentions to leave UT.

“I don’t disagree with that but again it was market place driven,” Hamilton said.

Yeah right...

I didn't know Hamilton was a Clemson alumnus. Wouldn't mind seeing him head on back over there

Peyton should have nothing say about this.

Hooker is "alright" because he mostly covers recruitment and player evaluations. Mike Strange is objective, but he doesn't necessarily nail the coffin lid shut either.

Unfortunately, I feel Adams hit the nial on the head last winter/early spring. I disagreed with Adams back then, and the players improved their off-the-field actions, but all it did was trickle over to on-the-field problems.

But I'm gonna stop here and let this thread get back on subject. Hamilton's a pansy until he pulls the trigger IMO. This year especially, talk is cheap, no matter how stern your quotations are.
