That game was so fun!!! The one and only time I wore the pompom pants to a game!

BYU and Kentucky were better than UCLA and Auburn that year.

Tennessee should never lose to Kentucky, Vanderbilt, or South Carolina.
That being said Kentucky has had some stability with Stoops and Tennessee was looking ahead to Bama and the players underestimated UK. The Vols are still not good enough to just be able to flip the switch whenever they want.

We played mistake free football after the Alabama game last year and we're gonna have to do it again

Never is a strong term but Tennessee as a program should have the following record in a decade against the rest of the SEC schools

Bama - 4-6
Florida - 5-5
Georgia - 5-5
Kentucky - 9-1
Vanderbilt - 9-1
South Carolina - 8-2
Mizzou - 8-2

Auburn - 2-2

Crompton had two TD passes to full backs in this game. I remember going to this one with my dad, good times.

I was on a cruise that weekend. I still remember being able to watch that game with a few others on the ship. It was a awesome win!!! Tons of energy by the players that night.

That was the last game I or my family attended in person. After the season when Kiffy left and they hired Dools, we quit. Season tickets that had been in the family for 40+ years - Section U row 23. Prime seats. Dad was so disgusted he said he was giving them back, no more donations and won't be attending again. Sigh. 10 years in Limbo.
