That we have 2 redshirt freshman and 1 true freshman on our o-line with 4/5 starters from last week out. We also have a ton of starters out on defense. Let's take it easy on these guys if things continue to go against us. They're playing their heart out but any team with this many injuries is going to have a tough time, especially against the number 1 team in the nation. This is coming from a "negavol".

On a side note maybe it's time to reevaluate or strength and conditioning coach. I realize some injuries occur on accident but I refuse to believe it's all bad luck. Some of this has to be conditioning; it seems as though no other team is ever as injured as we are.

Can we at least give our S&c program a year? I'm pretty sure the guy just took over

Ankles shoulders and concussions. Not real sure how to deal with that in S&C. Beat em over the head and at the lower calf with a baseball bat?

Its not on the strength coach. The rules of modern college and pro football protect offensive players other than lineman much much more than they do defensive players

Then why do so many other teams go without suffering THIS much attrition? I don't think it's rules, perhaps it is technique.

Defense is out there too long and DeBorg continues to throw a practice squad offense at the #1 team in the nation.

We are playing with a blue collar next man up defense. We are missing 6 starters today. Against the number 1 team in the country and they are not over ranked.

That being said let's play the game. But maybe... just maybe... this isn't the week to armchair quarter back the coaches and guys. I know they are giving it their all. And that's all we can ask them to do.

Let's keep after them. 1.5 qtrs of football to go.

Their depth chart says 2 freshman starters, both on offense. The freshmen they cycle in are fresh and don't have much pressure on them.

We have quite a few critical injuries, any team this plagued with injuries is not going to play well.

This is why recruiting is so critical. So we have some guys hurt. Pull up the official roster. Count the number of players. Last time I checked, there are 107 guys listed.

Yeah, I know there are plenty who are walk-ons. And yeah, I get some are just on there as practice bodies and to bring up the team GPA.

But injuries are going to happen, and the next man stepping up is a common matra every player, coach, and program understands. There is also two words I have seen on signs that decorate locker rooms and practice areas; No Excuses.

One thing I admire about this team is despite their shortcomings, mistakes, and injuries, they don't make excuses. And they don't need anyone else making them for them.

I know we hate to admit it but it's true we just can't stand this many injuries. Call it an explanation call it an excuse whatever but we're missing a lot of guys. a lot of important guys to be honest.
