Per reports Neyland Stadium was just offered a great package from Mack Brown to go to Texas. Way more than TN could pay, can't really blame the stadium for the move. Done deal, Hamilton is already on a plane searching for a replacement.

I'm hearing that Roger Clemens objects to moving General Neyland's statue to the University of Texas. It seems that Clemens takes particular pride in his own statue there in Austin, standing out as it does among the other fine statuary. Regarding the possible purchase of Tennessee's General Neyland, Clemens only commented, "Not a good mix. Not a good mix."

Not worth the effort. The whole state of Texas is just Tennessee-west anyhow. If it hadn't been for Tennesseeans, Texas would still be part of Mexico. (See Davy Crockett, Sam Houston, John Austin Wharton, Ben and Henry McCullough, George Childress, John Neely Bryan...)

My sources have told me that Hamilton and some Haslam guy are on the plane to get Joe Aillet Stadium to come here. I say it's a done deal.

Recruiting violation for Texas too, Speedy isn't 21 yet. Death Penalty for Texas. Everyone remembers their fiasco last year with underaged strippers.

They'll have to go thru Rev. Cecil Aillet to make it happen
