I love how this board has trashed Chavis for years and now suddenly want to regress back to a mediocre defense run by an old man who's lost his touch for no other reason than he did good things for us...20 years ago.

Yes to that! I liked Chavis in the 90s but look at how bad A&M's defense was last 2 years

I love Chavis, but he is not a great DC he is a great linebackers coach. He is VFL and a great guy, but he will always be 3rd and Chavis.

They forced some of those. He is still a great DC, my issue is his lack of recruiting. Kids love playing for him and he gets the most of his LB's
