Tennessee football: New preferred walk-on could provide major value to OL
Just getting this on the board so in the years coming I can point back to it. I have worked this kids basketball and football games since he was a young man and the Vols got a absolute steal here. I have worked so many D1 athletes in my 18 years of working ball and have always been amazed that this kid did not get a ranking! It might be because he missed a season due to a bad knee injury or it could be small town single A ball that kept him from any notoriety but I can tell you he should have been. A few things about this kid that always stuck out were his quickness and hands for a big guy to go along with his mean streak. I would not be surprised with time in a real weight and diet program if he does not see the field in his UT career. Super polite kid that has been raised well and worked at Walmart during high school.
